Inspiration Fridays:
Wowed by this video, a moment of awe from nature. Thanks, Lauren Bacon!
Some really lovely jewelry from artist Diane Kuligowski
As you will discover, as Inspiration Fridays continue, I am obsessed with houses. Here’s a wonderful did-it-themselves small house.
On Monday, I was interviewed on a real radio show. Woo hoo! They cut our 25 minute conversation down to 4 minutes but here it is. (or it will be when they send me the link…)
I really like these socks and these stripey ones.
This post from Ronna Dettrick: Longing as the presence of the Divine, inspired by John ODonahue
If you missed this earlier in the week, get the tissues. Sit down. Read this: Author Mona Simpson’s gorgeous and deeply moving portrait of her brother, Steve Jobs
And this poem, from May Sarton…
Now I become myself. It’s taken
Time, many years and places;
I have been dissolved and shaken,
Worn other people’s faces,
Run madly, as if Time were there,
Terribly old, crying a warning,
“Hurry, you will be dead before–”
(What? Before you reach the morning?

I am SO inspired by this young woman! My daughter’s roommate and BFF, Molly Pelavin, has taken on a pretty ambitious project: She and two fellow film students drove south to West Virginia to interview attendees of a Ku Klux Klan rally, people who’d probably prefer Molly (a mixed race New Yorker) didn’t exist at all. The trailer is great. I’m posting it here so you can view it – and if moved to, you can support Molly’s project Kickstarter fund: Link to Molly’s movie trailer and Kickstarter
This is one of my “Shadow and Light” cards – my words coupled with the stunning nature photography of Susan Powers. Beautiful. (A nice hostess gift for Thanksgiving; or, pick up some stocking stuffers a little early.)
