How I spent my summer vacation

This summer I grew my first tomato...

I spent time with my Dad. And found a wonderful young woman to visit him when I can not. She sent me this photo. :)

I took a class with Jennifer Louden and Marianne Elliot and spent some time with this enormous Buddha, who taught me some important lessons about unconditional love.

I spent weeks diagramming the way that I see the energetic fields of the body and psyche - for my next book and my new classes! (I can't wait to share all of this!)

I almost didn't go to San Francisco. But my daughter Katie, who was studying there, said, "Come, the world is for running around in." My plane took off at dawn.

I loved meeting my Twitter (and heart) friends in real life. We met at a tea house and Katie, who snapped this picture, loved them, too! (Tara Sophia Mohr, Julie Daley and Me)

And I saw my sister, who lives there, and we laughed and hugged and laughed some more, which we both REALLY needed!

I loved these stairs which cut between the backyards of houses in Mill Valley. Katie and I walked down each morning...

and then, after breakfast, we walked back up.

Just spending time with my sister and my daughter would have been enough. - but there was that incredible city - and the FOOD! Why does everything taste SO much better there?

I returned to my beautiful garden...

I ordered a new swing cushion and spent several early mornings making sure it worked.

We lit a late summer fire (in the backyard).

What a beautiful world this is! Tell me: How did you spend your summer vacation?

What a full summer. I love seeing pictures of your adventures, and loved being able to see you in person, again. We had such a good time together, didn’t we. Katie is a beautiful soul, like her Mom.
Love you, Julie
