Begin here. This is it. Nothing is wrong.
Begin here. This is it. Nothing is wrong. Guidance for the age of anxiety (Living a joy-driven life)Now we have chosen this title carefully as it maps you into the present moment and turns your attention toward alignment with what is here, and what will be here: the flow of the wholeness of blessing, of the good.Nothing binds you to the past (or the future) but that which you would bind. You are the binder. You bind experience so that later, you may re-call and re-member it. Re-call and re-membrance is the work of healing. To re-call a thing is to invite it into healing. This happens when you are able to open to it and integrate its lessons and release it to the flow. To integrate an experience in this way is to expand understanding. You want to return this experience to member-ship, to inclusion, in the flow of moving energy. Binding a wound (mental/emotional) is the psyche's way of holding it separate until you are ready to re-member and release it. You bind it by holding it inside of a boundary where it is sealed away and cannot hurt you.As such, binding a thing is also re-naming it. You take something out of the flow of 'the good' and exclude it - by re-naming it as 'bad'. You say, "this is bad. this should not have happened." And yet, if you look, you will see that it did happen and saying it was 'bad' (or 'wrong') holds it separate, while the mind argues with it. The mind arguing with a thing holds it as real - a real problem, a real wound, a real threat. When you hold something as real, and as a threat, the mind keeps re-turning to look at it. The mind returns to the 'bad thing', keeps checking in: Are you still there, bad thing? Still there, dangerous, lurking. Still there, hurting me? The mind returns and returns, arguing with it, "You should not be there in my past! I don't want you in my story so I will hold you there with my attention. I will bind you into a packet which I label 'bad' or 'wrong' or 'wound' so that I can keep an eye on you. As you keep your eye on it, and you keep saying, "This should not have happened." So there is the implication that something else should have happened instead of this. And what is that something else? We will return to that. Now we want to stop here to say that this is a natural part of the human psyche's work and that it is good. And that all bound energy is capable of unbinding, which is another word for healing or integration."Begin here" is a clear directive, which guides the attention back from the past, to the only place where it belongs: here. In the past, you've made mistakes which hold your attention captive - bound into bundles or knots (in your perception). In truth, nothing binds your attention but itself. Which is to say that you imagine it. Yet as you perceive your attention to be bound by something, so you bind yourself to it. You 'can't stop thinking about it.' You 'can't let it go of it.' You imagine that you are bound by wounds, regrets, mistakes and experiences (painful and joyful) and keep turning toward them.Yet nothing binds you to these things but your own attention to them. They are memories and thus, no more than thought - imaginations of what was. And we will come back and explain this more fully. This is the teaching. We will write it as you show up to receive and record it. As you show up, you will find it here to meet your listening If you don't show up, you will observe that we are speaking it through other teachers as well. You cannot miss this. This is the teaching at this time. This is the word of the flow - of God - and it is good. And you are good. Now we can see you hesitate at the word God and yes, we see your fear that this word can draw unwanted attention - the gaze of Mordor (as you are imaging) and yes, this IS a funny and fitting metaphor for how attention is drawn by powerful memes. We have not yet talked about memes in this book and yes, this is a book if you will return to take it down. And we will return to this discussion of memes in just a while. This is it. Nothing is wrong. And what we mean by 'this is it. nothing is wrong' is that there is nothing but this. This is the 'it' that you search for, everywhere but here. Yet you are here and can only be here. You cannot be in the future, controlling how this which you write will be received. You cannot be, anymore, in the past. So you bind pieces of the past and carry them forward, holding them in your field as bound energy labeled "trauma", "wound", "memory". You carry them forward because you know that healing is possible. Yet you misunderstand healing. And again, all of this is good: binding a painful experience is a natural response to overwhelm. You create boundaries to keep the overwhelm away. So this binding we are bringing to light is not bad, is not something to be overcome or fixed or driven away. It is here, bound energies of the past, carried into the present until you are ready to unbind and release these overwhelming 'too big' experiences. As the bindings are released, you will re-experience the feelings. You are ready for this. They are not 'too big' for you now. That is why they are re-called now for healing and for release. Once they re-process through your emotional field they will be gone - released from their bindings, they will return to the flow. All healing works in this way, including the natural flow of healing and unbinding of symptoms (bound energy) in the body.Just as, on the skin, there may be a painless scar after a physical wound heals, so you may sense an energetic 'scar' where you once felt pain. The pain, which was only bound energy, pressing against its bindings, has been liberated to the flow. All energy returns to the flow, where it joins the 'wholeness without a name'.And here, as Amy is retyping, we interrupt to insert that 'the wholeness without a name' is that which contains all named things and all that is unnamed: that which you know as 'God'. And yet, God is not its name for the wholeness has no name. It needs no name. It is the primordial sea of all that is - energy flowing endlessly, infinitely, into and out of the cups of creation. And now we will talk about naming. Naming is the act of drawing attention to a part of the wholeness, looking upon it and binding it off as a separate and distinct from the wholeness, as itself. Naming is a holy act, an act of power. Now this is not to say that naming is SO important that 'little you' cannot approach it, and we can feel/sense in your energy, that these words 'holy act' and 'act of power' hold some threat for you. So we will soften these words so that you can integrate/absorb them. However, we do not need to reduce - turn down - the intensity of this function; in truth, naming IS a holy act, an act of power, and we want you to get used to the truth: you are allowed and capable of performing holy acts. We want you to become accustomed, through this work, to flowing power - to moving energy through your own voice, your own body, your own word. But as we are just beginning, we will, this time, soften the words: 'holy act' and 'act of power'. And by 'soften' we are saying that we will untangle them for you - with you - extract/unpack the layers of misunderstanding and projection they contain. And yes, words contain energy. They are carriers of thought and meaning and often, overlaid/bound up with feeling/emotion, especially words like 'holy' and 'power' and, as noted earlier, 'God," which have been claimed by your religious traditions and infused with interpretation, rules and limits on their use.(Which is an example of the way in which your punishment/reward consciousness responds to bindings; and how you are discouraged, by self-censoring, from asking questions and seeking answers. You are encouraged, rather, to repress the rising of your own curiosity and openness. This book is an invitation to return to wholeness and willingness.)You will see that you will get used to writing these words with us - and that this writing with us will liberate these words for you in other contexts. When speaking them or writing them on your own. And the reader, following along, will notice the softening and liberation of these terms in his or her own life, as well.In fact, Amy, you will see that writing with us this work - this book - will liberate your ability to flow your own work, your own books. You will get used to it - and you will unbind the habits and stories about 'not ready' and 'inherited habits' from your mother -And here we will stop to offer counsel about that: you have bound an image, a memory, of your mother sitting at her desk with piles of revisions of her poems - overflowing in drawers and desktop baskets - which she went over and over and could not release. you have bound this image to the words 'tongue-tied' which you were given, at age 29, by (the psychic) M.B. Dykshoorn, when you were named by him in other ways, as well. We are working with you now to liberate this image from binding and to release the fear and sadness you feel when you re-mind yourself of this memory; which is a kind of magic spell you use to conjure, when you feel afraid as energy moves "too big' or 'too quickly' in your work. You re-mind yourself of your mother's struggles to express herself and you name yourself as 'her daughter' and bind the inheritance of these traits in yourself.Unbind this memory by matching/comparing it to a re-minder of your ease with speaking and with flowing your own work. Re-mind yourself of your unique name and body. You are Amy. She is Kent. Unbind these names. Rename yourself now. No longer 'the daughter of the tongue-tied poet' - reclaim Amy and re-member fully who you are. Re-member also, who she is and was. Forgive her for being unable to fully flow what you see in her: her wisdom and talent. Forgive her for being 'less than' you thought she should be. Release her by seeing what you already know - that she (and all things) are as they are and we cannot go back and repair them; only see them as they are, perfect, and unbind them from our names of condemnation.Use these words, this healing prayer we taught you: I know who I am. I know who you are. I love you as you are, as I am. I'm sorry that I used this name of condemnation to bind you separate from 'the good' (the flow of love). Please forgive me for binding you in this name and using that as my excuse to feel separate from seeing love where you stood. I release you from this binding. I rename you as 'good', as love and I release you and this memory to the flow of love and blessing. I see only love where you stand. All is well here.We return you now to the work at hand - where we were talking about naming - and this prayer we have just given will explain to our readers much of what we bring and now we will unpack this.A pause here as Amy breaks to rest and have a snack.Go back. Read through and bring us your questions. Ask from your own curiosity and you will reflect the things which our readers are also curious to know and understand.Me: I am curious about naming. Im curious, also, about whether Dykshoorn named me 'too soon' - before I was ready to know who I am. And whether he, therefore, created in me 'the gift of imagery'. In other words, maybe he named it in me and I then, conjured something that was not real. You were guided to Dykshoorn at the right time. He named you 'mother', as you will re-call. He gave you the image of yourself as a mother, and he saw and described two children - a boy and then a girl. He did not create this future, he named what he saw in your field and made it feel and seem more real to you - at a time when you were struggling to hold onto what you, also, could see but were having trouble bringing into form. Sometimes, we need another to name what we are for us so that we can see it more clearly. In a joy-led world, this is the function of the teacher and mentor, the mother and father. So Dykshoorn did not create this future for you, you did. He named you with the 'gift of imagery' and it was time for this seed to be planted so that it could grow, alongside your children. It is only now, when your children are grown that this gift comes to full flower. In fact, just this month, 'out of the blue', Esther (another 'namer' in your story) is re-minding you of this gift in new ways. She has much experience and wisdom in this field and she has researched, with great heart engagement the field of your family's story and energy. She named it, "the gift," and detected it first in your mother. She unbound it for Kent, making this name accessible to her so that she could experience herself as 'gifted'. Kent's family had twisted it, over time, into madness. Esther, like that kitten playing with a ball of red yarn, helped your mother to unbind the tangles of 'the gift', comb out the yarn and gather it into a new more organized, more coherent ball, which she could hold inside of herself. Now, Esther turns to include you and Katie, your daughter (and Max, your son) in the gaze of her own gift: which is naming and gently tending the fragile 'gifted' ones. Like the orchids she collects and nurtures in full sun, so tenderly, all flourish under her loving care. And yes, we agree that Esther has her blind spots - as all do - her own binding to untangle. This is her work and need not concern you. Only know that you are safe in her presence when you remain connected to your true name.So now we return now to the teaching of naming and begin to demonstrate the teaching of the true name.We have said that words contain energy, emotions and projections. These projections may be stories, templates, maps of meaning. Words are symbols and represent other things So the word apple is not an apple. The words 'ball of red yarm' are not a real ball of yarn. They are symbols, which conjure images. They work as bridges, binding meaning so that when we think or hear or read the word apple, we can 'see' the image of an apple in our mind's eye.Image-making is the work of language. This must be seen and understood. Language was developed to convey mental images (ideas, stories, memories, plans) from one person to another: to bring or convey idea/thought from inside the field of mind to the outside, into the field of the visible (the manifest) world. To bring ideas (which are invisible) onto a piece of paper, like this one on which you write words with a pen or to a computer screen, on which you will type these words. You are listening (receiving) the flow of our guidance (as imagery-condensed packets of meaning) and you are then translating these packets into words. You are translating (by reading the packets inside your own mind) and then, conveying them to the visible, writing them onto paper - or speaking them aloud. To convey something means to carry it from one place to another. This is 'the gift of imagery': the ability to receive packets of imagery and to carry them - across the bridge of your 'gift' - from invisible to visible.Yes, this is big. Yes, you may rest and eat breakfast. Restore yourself. Integrate all we have told you. We are here and will be here when you return.Recorded on this day of EasterSunday, March 27, 2016
