Diving down, resurfacing with pearls

Last December, I began working with the brilliant team over at Tracking Wonder to help me clarify my message and redesign my blog. Much work is going on, invisibly, and soon, some time in the spring, this website will look different, easier to navigate, clearer messaging.Right now, I'm relishing the opportunity to dive down deep into my own work - and resurface with polished and glowing pearls for you.As we dive, looking for the language and imagery that feels and sounds most resonant, I keep coming back to:Hunger and WillingnessHunger for life... and the willingness to engage with life, no matter what's here. And the willingness to not know why this is here - and engage with it anyway.Because deep down, there is a knowing that knows that what is here is just what you need, it is just what you were looking for. And even though, in present time, you don't - you can't - know that. You have to let yourself.... live and love. You have to let yourself move and change. And thinking that we have to KNOW beforehand, thinking that we have to (or that we CAN) plan our way to happiness, to enlightenment, to a soul mate, to perfection is ... well, it's so absurd that we can only stop, once in awhile, and laugh about it.Over wine. With tears.Thinking we have to know where we're going before we take a step - it's theplague of our time - perfectionism, a control strategy to avoid suffering.More laughter. Here are some posts about these things.https://amyoscar.com/light-2/what-i-dont-know-can-leave-me-breathless/https://amyoscar.com/soul-caller/the-four-hungers-that-drive-you/
