Opening to Her as She Opens to You

The world is alive. Of course it is. How strange that we miss this! How strange the way we step through the back door each day and miss the bright and pulsing world into which we've plunged. How strange that we miss the song, the music, the buzz of life - as we step from the soil into the metal containers of our cars and, insulated, enclosed, drive away. As if we could drive away.As if we could escape it.The life force is here - it's always been here.In the ice crackling into patterns beneath our boots. In the trees, already beginning to bud.In the laughter of our babiesIn the berries in the bowl, bursting with sweetness. It powers the wings of the two hawks who swoop over my car when I drive to visit my parents. It whispers me awake each morning, reminding me, in the bright room of blessing, that all bridges lead to love. The more that I let myself feel this, the more grounded I become. The more grounded I become, the more solid I feel. The more solid I feel, the more at home in my own life I can be.And the living pulse is a vine which reaches up from sacred soilAnd the soil out of which she reaches is not the metaphor of soil but loamy, sandy physical soilAnd that soil supports this house where I sit writing these words and powers this body - this earthy, fleshy body - with feet on the ground to feel Her call and fingers clicking over keys, to bring to words her song.openingtoherbadgeI invite you to explore this call  - this invitation - with me and Julie Daley, a gentle and beautiful soul friend of mine (who'll soon be one of yours), on the first weekend of April as the spring warms the soil and the seeds begin to stir. We'll gather in a small circle - enrollment is limited to 15 - in a beautiful old Massachusetts Inn - for conversation, meditation, art journaling - and catered lunch (included) as we explore into and deepen our sacred (and profoundly important and soul-opening) relationship with life force that has always been there, always calling to us all. This workshop is over but DO get on my mailing list to receive updates about the next one!
