Reverse that downward spiral of calamity and struggle

It begins so innocently. Someone says the wrong thing to someone else and BOOM, the whole family - aunts and uncles, cousins and siblings - is arguing. (You don't quite know why - but everyone has to let you know what they think.)The next day at work, you drop your favorite coffee cup and it shatters. The client you've been nurturing along suddenly stops returning your calls. On the way home, the traffic is heavier than its ever been and when you get home, you discover the power is out.Trying to make the best of it, you order Chinese food but they deliver another family's order - and it's all so spicy you can't possibly eat it.  The next morning, everyone's got the flu... and then, while you're out buying more tissues, someone backs into your car.STOP! Before the pipes freeze and your son's turtle dies, turn your gaze back toward the light. Here's a simple three-step process that will do just that:

  1. Stop listing all the bad things in your life.
  2. On a fresh sheet of paper, make a LONG list of the good.
  3. Offer gratitude for what everything you love.
  4. Give the rest to God.

This simple process puts you in direct alignment with The Law of Increase, which states: That which you focus upon increases; that which you ignore, decreases. It reverses the spiral from downward to upward.Another way to state this:Turn your gaze toward light and your heart toward love.Ask God to lift the storm.Let it go.
