The Autumn Wisdom Series: Alice Langholt
When Alice was pregnant with her fourth child, a fellow parent and Reiki teacher introduced her to the healing technique. When she explained that it could be helpful for reducing many of her pregnancy discomforts, Alice became an eager student.Alice learned Usui Reiki level 1, and received her first attunement. Even though she did not receive the expected results, she was determined to continue her Reiki self healings throughout her pregnancy in the hopes that it would make a difference.Alice's level 2 Reiki attunement changed everything and her faithfulness was rewarded with proof that healing was taking place and that her spiritual awakening had begun.The story of Alice's journey to becoming a Reiki Master and teacher is riveting and inspiring. She is a parent and teacher with Master level training in several Reiki modalities. Alice maintains a local Reiki practice as an Associate at Insight Learning and Wellness Center in the Cleveland, Ohio area. She is the author of Practical Reiki for balance, well being and vibrant health, which won second place for Best Reiki Book in the 2012 About.com Reader's Choice Awards. In addition, she has authored eBooks in Distance Healing and Energetic Protection, as well as specific curricula in Reiki for Parents, Reiki for Nurses and Caregivers (approved by the Ohio Board of Nurses for continuing education units), and more. Alice is in the Transdisiplinary Holistic Care Program at The Cleveland Clinic offering Reiki to patients and staff, and is a Group Leader with The Distance Healing Network (the-dhn.com).
